Hoop De Doos
Hoop De Doos are leaflets, one design per publication, easy to read charts WITH instructions on covering a wooden hoop with fabric—a quick and easy way to finish the project.
There is a wide variety of subject matter and when stitched on 16/32 count they fit perfectly into a 5” hoop (14/28 count finishes into a 6” hoop).
This easy finishing technique should also encourage stitchers to get those smalls out of the UFO drawers! FYI, the hoops used are wood hoops, beech (or birch) with a brass screw apparatus. The inexpensive bamboo hoops have sharp edges and the screws can be too short for this application.
